Here Come the Skunks

This is the story of a rock band — a band whose members are skunks. The band actually isn't very good, but no one wants to tell them that. Why? Because nothing is worse than a band of angry skunks. Hold your nose and run!!

written by Paul Nordquist + performed by Paul Nordquist (vocals) and Monster Crossing

Ladies and gentlemen
The fabulous Skunks
Yeah yeah yeah
Here come the Skunks

Here come the Skunks looking armed and ready
Clearing the floor of a crowded room
Blasting our ears with their latest weapon
Horrible songs that are out of tune

But you don't tell a Skunk that they got no rhythm
Don't tell a Skunk that the band sounds bad
Try not to laugh at their stupid lyrics
That's gonna make 'em get steaming mad

Just say okay
Just let them play
Don't want to make 'em feel unhappy in any way

Ladies and gentlemen
The fabulous Skunks
Yeah yeah yeah
Here come the Skunks

If you see the Skunks playing live in concert
Don't let 'em know what you really think
Critics have warned of their harsh vendettas
You're taking a risk if you say they stink

Tell 'em they're cool
Say "the Skunks rule"
Unless you're prepared to hold your breath
And jump in the pool

Ladies and gentlemen
The fabulous Skunks
Yeah yeah yeah
Here come the Skunks

They are the best
From east to west
A runaway success
And I do mean run away
Run away

Ladies and gentlemen
Those horrible Skunks
Aaaaaaa
Here come the Skunks
Run away run away
Here come the Skunks
Run away
Here come the Skunks
