The Moose

A little girl named Janette gets lost in the woods... and soon she finds herself face to face with that most fearsome of creatures, the moose.

Let me tell you a story
'bout a girl named Janette
She got lost in the forest
And what do you think she met?

A moose
A big, black, hairy moose

Janette said "Gosh,
It's not Halloween
But you're the scariest elk
That I've ever seen"

"I'm a moose" said the moose
"A big, black, hairy moose"

"Are you lost?" asked the moose
Janette replied, with a tear
"Well, the trail has got lost,
but not me! I'm right here

With a moose
A big, black, hairy moose"

At that, the moose turned tail
And led her back to the trail

Janette said "Thank you!"
The moose said "You're welcome.
But always remember that I'm not an elk

I'm a moose
A big, black, hairy moose
Don't you call me an elk
'Cause I'm a moose
A big, black, hairy moose
I'm not any kind of elk
I'm a moose
A big, black, hairy moose
Don't you ever call me an elk
'Cause I'm a moose
A big, black, hairy moose"
